  I walked in around 5:30pm and needing help finding an item in the store yet the gentlemen behind the counter just pointed to the area where I might be able to find what I’m looking for. So I tried to find it myself but couldn’t so I asked him for help he tells me that I can find what I am looking for at harbor freight someone there can help me find it. I’ve always brought my business to Advance Auto, now I have to think about it before I even bother going to Advance after this situation. And it’s was a simple question.

  What should have been a simple part exchange turned into a very unpleasant experience due to how unprofessional Jacob (Jake) was. I called after realizing the part I purchased was for the wrong side of the vehicle (a fairly common mistake when buying auto parts) and immediately felt accused and talked down to on the phone. When I came into the store to exchange the unused part, I explained that it had never been installed and that I had repackaged it as carefully as possible. Jacob then took the box and threw it behind the counter, stating that I had “ruined” it and that it would need to be returned as defective. His behavior throughout the interaction was aggressive enough that it genuinely made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable. I’ve been coming to this location for a long time and it has always been my first stop when I needed parts, but after this experience and the lack of respect I received, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

  I get most of my auto parts at Advance. They are competitive with their pricing and carry a great selection of products. If they don’t have what I need, I know they can get it quickly. They are extremely helpful and I am always greeted by all of the associates as I enter their stores. They will offer to help me carry anything I purchase out to my vehicle if it is necessary. Nice touch.
