  I went in this evening to rent a brake kit to compress my pistons. Today is Saturday, on May 9th. It’s around 7pm. So I asked if you have a tool to compress a caliper piston. I was told we don’t sell anything large like that. I asked do you rent one. Austin, he says his name was tells me they don’t have one. So I looked at the list of tools for rent. There it is kit 48. He then tells me ‘unfortunately’ they don’t label them. Again I look at the rack of rentals and each kit is labeled. I ended up just flat out telling him his customer service was terrible.

  I am a 69 year old widow and my husband of 9 years my senior did everything in our 34 year marriage. I had a neighbor volunteer to put brake pads on my equinox and suggest I get parts at Advance Auto. Life is a new experience to me and people can make or take advantage of a older woman. They not only were very helpful but not once did they make me feel stupid.

  The gentleman working solo this evening went above and beyond to help me. This is not the first time he has provided great customer service to me.....nobody special. He's also not the only employee there who has "saved my butt". I will continue my business with this store and highly recommend it.
