I didn’t get a chance to stay here, but they were honest about their pool not working and gave a time frame on how long it’ll be down for.
Honest people at the front desk, offered a full refund with no extra fees, also they were understanding if we needed to book elsewhere.
Next time, if the pool is operating 🙃 I’ll definitely be staying here! 🙂

I will never stay here again. We booked this room ahead of time. One reason was it had a pool. We'll the pool was closed. We checked in went in the bathroom the toilet handle was broken and would not flush. Then no wash rags. The lady at the front desk moved us to a smaller room and the TV didn't work in that one. So the front desk lady moved us back to our first and told us a maintenance worker was coming to fix everything. We had to change our evening plans. The next morning we were packing up and the maintenance man unlocked our door and started to come in. He said I'm sorry they told me they room was empty. We will never stay at this place again.

they didn't give us any discounts or heads up that the pool would be closed for our entire stay. they saw we booked in with 2 kids, but didn't think letting us know would be important. We only chose to book this hotel because of the pool for our kids. We could have found a different and cheaper hotel with a functioning pool, but no refund for our second night was possible. We will not be staying again and will discourage all family and friends from choosing Best Western Plus Kelly Inn & Suites die to yhis poor customer service and communication on their part. they only had a sign on the front frsk stating that the pool was closed, so we could not cancel before the 24 hours required by them. very disappointed and it feels like we were not informed of the pool outage so they wouldn't lose bookings.
We were extremely disappointed to see a sign on the front desk saying the “Indoor Water Play-Land” was closed when we arrived. We booked this hotel for two nights as a part of a long road trip, with no real plans in Fargo besides playing in the pool. I felt terrible for hyping up this feature of the hotel to our daughter, because she was looking forward to it. I feel like we should’ve been given some warning that a huge amenity of the hotel would be closed. We received an email directly from the hotel shortly after booking, with all the information regarding check in and amenities, so they could’ve sent an email once they knew the pool would be closed. We had no chance to book elsewhere and definitely weren’t given a discount. The room was clean, the breakfast wasn’t great, and the evening reception on Wednesday was really bad. Also for a Wednesday and Thursday night, there sure were plenty of people running and shouting in the hallways at midnight and the smell of weed was awful Thursday morning. I’d book elsewhere in the future.

Just checked in after an all day drive with our kids and the pool is closed. The only notice is a sign on the front desk.
It’d be one thing if it were a run of the mill hotel pool… that stuff happens… but when you have an indoor water park/playground-style pool, and it’s closed, I think you owe your customers at least some advance warning before they get to the front desk for check in with their kids. Not a word on the website, nothing on social. Maybe look ahead at future reservations that have kids and give a quick call to notify and offer cancellation, rebooking or rate?
This place wasn’t the cheapest, wasn’t the most expensive. But the pool was a huge attraction and part of the value. Frankly, a big reason for booking.
