  This hotel and the staff deserve ZERO stars. The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered IN MY LIFE. Do not stay here....you'd be better off pitching a tent or sharing a cave with a bear. Bear is probably way cleaner, too. After a long travel day, an out of town guest was refused the room that was reserved and paid for in advance because a "local" resident of Waynesville went inside to check him in. I called the front desk and while attempting to sort out the issue, the extremely rude and unprofessional staff actually hung up on me. Disappointing and frustrating, but I guess I should just consider the source.

  Beds were comfortable. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Grounds were dirty. Staff wasn’t very friendly. Felt like I was putting them out by staying there. Would not stay here again

  Breakfast service was nice, though the area is quite cramped. Rooms are pretty old and small. Parking directly outside the door (this is a motel, not a hotel). Sitting areas outside the hotel on the day we arrived were filled with people in pool attire. We did not use the pool but it seemed popular.

  I booked here because Google maps had it listed as a 3 star hotel. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed is that this is a motel. We had had a long, tiring day and I had already made the reservation, so we stayed. The woman working the desk was friendly. There was a carafe of coffee in the lobby. Water, tea bags, and hot chocolate were also available. We walked into the room and I was hit with an odor. The room was rather dark because of the brown paint color and carpet, which had a stain. The toilet wouldn't stop running. I decided to turn it off at the valve and tell the front desk the next morning. The bathroom is very small. There wasn't a do not disturb sign. Good points: the bed was very comfortable. The shower is the brightest spot in the room. Because of the light and because of the shower head, it was great. There is a large screen tv. Breakfast had a decent variety, keeping in mind it does say continental. Free wi-fi.

  I was highly disappointed in this hotel. I recommended it to my parents after reading the reviews. Terrible mistake. When I got to the hotel to visit them, I noticed the beautiful view completely blocked off with storage containers. The room smelled like musty wet clothes. The carpet was dirty as was the chair and ottoman with stains. The pool area looked just right, small and beautiful view. Guess what, CLOSED. No reason, no heads up as you booked. It was middle of day and past memorial day so no reason for the closure. I am astonished with the 4.4 rating as there must be some room, maybe one in that hotel, that is updated and pristine.
