🚨Be very careful with DHL's 'Signature Release' option!
I bought a high-value international item. The delivery driver simply left the package on the ground by my front door without ringing the doorbell or notifying me it was there, even though I was home all day. Because of this negligence, the package was immediately stolen.
When I filed a claim, DHL completely washed their hands of the matter; they stated that since the 'Signature Release' option was active (an option they actually encourage you to select in their app), they were no longer liable—even though they internally acknowledged the theft. Neither DHL nor PayPal’s buyer protection will back you up if you have this setting enabled.
The most infuriating part is that, to this day, packages from other carriers constantly arrive at my apartment door without any issues; the only package stolen in all this time was the one shipped by DHL, due to their carelessness.
I advise all buyers—especially those using stores like Weverse Shop—to NEVER enable 'Signature Release' and to always insist on in-person delivery requiring a signature; otherwise, you risk losing your money, and the company won't take responsibility for anything.
