  Can in and the old lady behind the counter was very rude and thought I didn’t speak English because of how I looked and had her partner help and speak Spanish even though I was speaking clearly and good English.

  Service: 5 stars Guy was polite, quick, and genuinely nice—no complaints. Food: 5 stars Two six-inchers—soft bread, soft cookies, everything spot-on. Vibe: 2 stars He was nervous, new—just a month in—and stuck solo on a Saturday at 3:30. Busy stretch, no help. Felt unfair, rushed... honestly, I ended up hurrying to pay and leave so I wouldn't be in his way. Usually there's this female sandwich artist there—she's got a calm, comfy energy that makes the whole thing relaxing. This wasn't bad on him—he did great for being so green—but seeing him stressed out kinda got to me. I don't like that. I usually only leave reviews when something really sticks out... and this did. Management's gotta think harder about staffing—like, maybe throw in one or two four-hour shift folks to back up whoever's doing the full nine. That way, if it gets hectic, there's actual help. Still, I'd go back—just hope he's not alone next time. Overall: 4 out of 5

  Employees not wearing hats. Employees brushing hair from their own face while wearing gloves using gloves to serve food without changing gloves while wiping sweat I said “that’s against health code” employee stated maybe you should talk to the manager so I said where is the manager? they said we don’t have one at this location ( Reference to the subway on Burkemont Avenue and the time is approximately 4:15 PM on Sunday 2/23/25) Seems to me that all the employees at the subway at Burkemont Ave should go through food safety certification again since NONE of them know IT. I will never GO TO THIS SUBWAY AGAIN WE LEFT without ordering food.
