  Very Disappointing Customer Service – Not What I’d Expect from Michael Kors I had a remarkably disappointing experience at the Michael Kors Outlet in Mebane, NC. After purchasing three items—I requested an additional small shopping bag because the items were intended as gifts to two different recipients. The lead cashier, who stated that she was one of the store’s managers, refused and insisted that providing an extra bag was against company policy. The trainee obviously followed suit. What was most disappointing was not the refusal itself, but the attitude with which it was delivered. Rather than making any effort to assist a customer who had just made a sizable purchase, she was condescending, dismissive, and unwilling to show even the slightest flexibility or customer-focused thinking. Sort of “I have the power here” attitude. It is difficult to understand how providing an inexpensive paper bag to a customer spending money in the store could be considered unreasonable. If this truly is company policy, it is an incredibly shortsighted one. If it is not, then the management at this location is choosing to prioritize rigid rule enforcement over basic customer service. Luxury and premium brands are built on the customer experience. Unfortunately, this store failed that standard completely. Instead of leaving satisfied with my purchase, I left feeling undervalued and unwelcome. There are plenty of other Michael Kors locations and competing retailers that understand how to treat customers. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend shopping elsewhere and avoiding this particular location.

  Just walked out this store. Manager seemed to be very rude. Had a very bad attitude. Felt like he was on notice period and was not really interested in his job. Would not recommend this store to anyone.
