I placed my order for pickup @8:20pm. Before traveling 35 minutes to get it. I called and spoke with a women at the location to notify her I’m on the way to get the item and she said that it’s ok. I arrive at 8:56pm and the doors are locked. A man with a ponytail was walking by the door back n fourth trying to avoid eye contact. So i say loudly i have a pickup order and i spoke with a lady. The lady then comes to the door and proceeds to say that the system has been down for 3 minutes. I say but i placed my order 30 minutes ago and she claims it didn’t come through even though the system stated that order would be ready in 30 minutes after i purchase. Highly disappointed in making a long drive not to get what i needed.

Terrible experience with pickup order. Service clerk was horribly rude to my husband in the store and to me on the phone when I called to get his name (Sam- he indicated he was the manager. Husband described him as short, young, skinny with long-ish brown hair.) My husband approached the service desk because he received an email that his in-store pickup order was ready. When he approached the front counter, my husband said he was there for an in-store pickup with his order information on his phone. Sam couldn’t be bothered to take his headphones out. Without introduction, he said “what?” and didn’t ask my husband’s name or order number. He told my husband that his delivery was not there, my husband tried to explain he had an email but Sam rudely and angrily swung the monitor to my husband like he was bothering him I suppose to “prove” there was no order in store. He then asked my husband if he was sure he wasn’t supposed to be at Auto Zone to which my husband AGAIN referred to the receipt on his phone. Sam finally confirmed the item that was ordered and then walked to some shelves, and said “Oh” (as in he realized the order was ready for pickup). At no point in the exchange did Sam request a confirmation number, a name, or a receipt. Sam then came back to the counter and said “they must have fulfilled it” and his tone noticeably changed. My husband, a very mild tempered man, had enough at that point. He grabbed his items and promptly left the store. No apologies. I called the store to get his name and to let him know that since he is the manager of the store, I would be calling their corporate office to file a complaint. He then raised his voice at me and instead of apologizing, he tried to make excuses. I tried to calmly end the phone call several times, and finally had to hang up. I understand that retail is very difficult and you experience all kinds of kinds; however, there is no excuse for this behavior, especially from someone who has been given the title of manager. Perhaps we WILL take our business to Auto Zone next time since Sam recommends them.
