  Had a great weekend stay at the Best Western in Hickory NC. Very clean, easy to locate, and peaceful. Shout out to John for his excellent job in guest services making reservations and checking as smooth as possible. Great job at a great location.

  BED BUGS!! Stay away!!! When we took a picture of the bug which was laying on top of the sheets and it was big, which means it was probably completely infested underneath all the layers and the mattress, we were told oh I’m so sorry, this never happens. Well, clearly it does! Got the refund and left as quick as possible. DISGUSTING!!!

  Staff was very nice and made checkin super quick& easy. Room was clean and location is right where you want to be (near restaurants and shopping) depending on your reason for visiting Hickory NC

  Staff was lovely, breakfast was great, and the location is great as well. I believe I stayed in one of the non-renovated rooms and for the price the room was not great. Towels & linens were fresh & clean and room was vacuumed & tidy. Housekeeping did a great job. However, the bathroom walls and the door dividing my room from the one next door had significant black mold. The wallpaper in the bathroom had black mold growing at the seams that were unfurling from humidity, and behind those unfurling seams was another layer of paper that was completely covered in mold, giving me the impression they wallpapered over the previous layer of molded wallpaper instead of addressing the problem. By the end of my weeklong stay I felt pretty sick, and likely will not stay here again until the rest of the rooms are renovated. I hope the owners prioritize updating the older rooms.
