UPDATE 8/12: Wingstop just replied to this review with a generic, automated message telling me to "reach out" at their corporate link. If they had actually bothered to read my review, they would know that I ALREADY contacted corporate on August 4th, waited the 5 days they asked for, and was completely ignored. Their reply below is just public relations theater to trick people into thinking they handle complaints. They do not, and they do not care about their customers at all.
Original review:
A complete failure on both a local and corporate level. On Friday, July 31st, we placed a prepaid $198.21 catering order for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday party (50 tenders and 75 boneless wings), scheduled for a 3:30 PM Sunday, August 2nd pickup.
Upon arrival, I was told they had inexplicably made the order on Saturday instead and threw it out. Instead of apologizing and immediately fixing their mistake, the manager on duty actually tried to charge me a second time to remake the food we had already paid for!
We were forced to wait 30 minutes while staff sought "approval" from an unreachable General Manager to start cooking without charging us a second time. The food wasn't handed to us until 4:40 PM. Because of this glaring incompetence, we missed nearly an hour of my daughter's party, leaving our guests waiting without food.
When we went back the next day and asked for compensation for this massive disruption, local staff was totally dismissive, telling us we "had our food" and there was nothing else they could do. We were given the runaround when requesting the General Manager, being told they were "in meetings for two days" and to call corporate.
I escalated the issue to Corporate on August 4th, waited the 5 business days they requested for a resolution, and was entirely ignored. If you are planning an event, take your money elsewhere. They do not value their customers' time, they will ruin your timeline, and neither local management nor corporate will take accountability when they fail.
