This was my first time ever ordering from Wingstop, and unfortunately it will probably be my last.
I spent over $70 on my order and specifically ordered lemon pepper bone-in wings. When I got home, I realized the order was made incorrectly and all of the wings were boneless, which is not what I ordered.
I called the store expecting a simple resolution. I was told they could remake the wings, but that would require me to drive all the way back after already spending time and money picking up the order. Since the mistake was made by the restaurant, I asked if there was any possibility of a credit, refund, or another form of compensation without having to make a second trip.
Instead of trying to help, the situation quickly became unprofessional. Employees became argumentative, and while I was explaining the issue, I could hear comments being made in the background. When I asked to speak with a manager, the conversation only became more frustrating. Rather than working toward a solution, I was hung up on multiple times. I called back and was disconnected again. In total, I was hung up on three separate times while trying to resolve a mistake that was caused by the store.
The response I kept receiving was, “Call back tomorrow.” The problem with that is my order was wrong tonight, and my resolution is still unresolved. I should not have to spend my time chasing down a solution for an error that wasn’t mine. As of writing this review, no compensation, store credit, refund, or satisfactory resolution has been provided.
What disappointed me most wasn’t the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. It was the way I was treated afterward. As a paying customer who spent over $70, I expected basic customer service and professionalism. Instead, I was made to feel like my concerns didn’t matter and that I was an inconvenience for bringing a mistake to their attention.
I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted the order I paid for or a fair resolution without having to make another trip because of an error that wasn’t mine.
Very disappointing first experience. The food mistake was frustrating, but the customer service, repeated hang-ups, lack of accountability, and unresolved resolution are the reasons I won’t be returning. Customers deserve better treatment than this.
