  The worst advance auto EVER! Went to get a NEW battery and the mechanic put me the batter cables in completely wrong the NEGATIVE was completely disconnected causing even more trouble than it was to begin with.

  I want to give a huge thank you to Tyleeq at Advance Auto Parts on Sugar Creek in Charlotte. He truly went above and beyond for me today. I originally came into the store thinking I needed a 6mm wrench because one was missing from my car tool kit, but after taking the time to inspect everything with me, he realized I already had the 10mm wrench I actually needed. Instead of just selling me something and sending me on my way, he took the time to educate me and explain everything thoroughly. Tyleeq showed me the differences and benefits between a ratchet wrench, a regular wrench, sockets, and even an electronic wrench for difficult battery bolts. He explained how each tool works, demonstrated how to use them properly, and even helped me find where I could order the specific tool online through the company website since it wasn’t available in-store. It was hot, humid, and lightly raining outside, yet he still took his time helping me without making me feel rushed or uncomfortable. He also educated me about battery corrosion and explained why pouring Coca-Cola on a battery can create problems like attracting ants if it isn’t cleaned properly. He advised me to rinse it away with water and explained that true corrosion issues often come from the battery itself leaking and may require battery replacement. What really surprised me was that I didn’t even realize until I was walking out and saying goodbye that he was actually the General Manager of the store. The entire time he treated me with patience, humility, professionalism, and genuine kindness. He came outside to make sure I truly had everything I needed and made me feel safe and confident about driving my car afterward. I also want to shout out Charlie inside the store because he had such a positive attitude the entire time. Even when I started getting frustrated and cussing a little bit, he kept me smiling and grounded. Honestly, he handled me like somebody’s granddaddy or uncle would — calm, reassuring, and reminding me everything was going to be okay. That energy meant a lot more than he probably realizes. Thank God for these men because baby… it is HOT and humid out here y’all 😭😂 and they still took the time to help me properly without making me feel like a burden. Outstanding customer service from start to finish. Advance Auto Parts is lucky to have both of them.

  I was assisted by a young man name Tye he had some of the best 👌🏾 customer service ever. He spoke as I entered the store and he waa very helpful helping me decide on which tire shine i should go with. I would definitely visit this store again.
