I used to give high praises to the Subway in Cashiers.
I placed an online order of $24.05 that I paid with via digital gift card at 7:15 PM. On Google, their hours of operation is until 8:30 PM. This digital gift card was my only means for a quick dinner tonight. Knowing we live in a small town, no other fast food around, no other way to "order" cheap with a digital gift card....I placed my order in confidence.
I waste much needed gas to get to the store at 7:25 PM. I waited in my car for another 5 minutes to give them the requested 15 to 20 minutes to complete an order. I realized that they just turned the lobby lights off, so I get out of my car and walk up to the door, and it's locked!!! I start knocking on the door loudly because I could hear someone inside, after no response, I phoned the store.....Only to be told that they are closing at 7:30 for tonight, and that they VOIDED out my order, and my money "SHOULD" go back on my card, but they're not sure when.
You had a whole 15 minutes to make the order and not only that, your hours of operation says 8:30. That was my ONLY way to provide dinner for tonight and now I'm out that money for today and no other way even if I had that money to get anything cheap to eat because there's no way to spend it online!
Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed about the whole ordeal. Not only that but what would have happened if I arrived a few minutes after 7:30, and had no clue as to what was going on. And no attempt to phone the customer either to be generous enough to let the customer know that your dinner was not being made for the night even after you purchased it and not to bother to drive out there.
