  Had an ASA 9 pound 14 year old support dog and we had to leave him unattended in the room between 6pm and 8pm and got a call that dog was barking(which never happens even at home) and we were told to leave the hotel. We stood at the door upon returning and there was no barking or crying. We had to leave the hotel even after explaining that he would be quiet when we were there. People in the hall were making more noise at the elevator. Flush toilet and it would "scream" until the tank filled. Toiletries(shampoo etc) were a one wash only size. Not even enough for 2 people in the room. NEVER had any issues with more than 5 stays at other hotels, with no pets, including 5 days at the Ark where he was alone longer. Will NOT EVER USE ANY BEST WESTERN. Will sleep in the car first.

  Smells good soon as you open the door. Great location that’s close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

  We stayed here for a quick stopover on our way to Gulf Shores. We arrived at night and the check in process was quick and easy. The lady at the front desk was very kind! Our room was nice, with updated furnishings and decor, and everything was very clean. The bed pillows were not very comfortable, but it’s a hotel, so, I don’t expect a whole lot. The breakfast selection was adequate, offering hot and cold options. Overall, even though it was a very short stay, we had a great experience!

  The hotel was very clean, and when we requested items that we needed, the staff was very prompt. We used the pool and they had the towels by the pool stocked, and the pool was heated which was wonderful for our kids. My littlest usually won’t swim if it’s cold. The next morning the breakfast had a large assortment of items for our kids to eat. Only downside is there isn’t really enough tables for everyone to eat. We got lucky that a family had just left so we had a place to eat. We would have taken food to room, but having kids, it’s hard to juggle it all. Trays for people maybe be recommended for families to bring food to rooms. Overall, we had a great experience and it was close to so many restaurants and shopping areas.

  07/22/26 This is a 'TRUTHFUL" rating with pictures. Below the manager mentioned this wasnt theor hotel. This hotel is in-between Chili's and Catlina Del Sol so Im sure we know where we stayed. BRING your own towels and bath amentities if you dare stay! The professionalism and friendliness of the front desk doesnt have anything to do with the rating! They deserve a 5 star at check in and check out! This hotel is by far anything close to new or remodeled. The shower was so gross, molded and old, can only imagine whats growing in the cracks. We literrally used construction plastic to step on. We used our own towels so we could use their stained towels to catch the water on the floor. One tiny sliver of soap was furnished, we used our own. Everything in hotel showed cutting corners at all costs down to the black duct tape holding carpet together everywhere. Bathroom was old and very outdated. The only thing that could be even possibly new was a few light fixtures. The TV was far to the left of the bed and very small. Air conditioner did not properly work for 100 degrees weather outside. Ventilation left sheets feeling damp! Outlets were burnt which definetly fire hazard. Phone was gross! We put remote in plastic to use it! Wall paper falling off everywhere. Dusty! They are using dim lights to hide the fact that these rooms are unsanitary. Below are several pictures of what your really getting for the same price as brand new hotels in the area. I think they are basing their price of around $150 through the ap upon the restaurants that are surrounding and this was why we decided to come here. There reviews were good but maybe people dont see filth as we do! Or they had insiders rate them. This is NOT the NEW Best Western PLUS at all so be aware!
