I've literally just left the store, and I was so disgusted by two employees there who seemed to be related to each other based on their close nature.
When I walked in, there was a young lady with braids who was mopping the lobby, and a young lady in glasses was serving another customer. She clearly wasn't listening to the customer, as he repeated himself three times in the six-step walk from the door to the counter.
The man repeated himself, clearly getting frustrated because Glasses didn't understand "double meat". Glasses began talking to who I assume was the manager. He was sitting on a bucket just behind the wall on his phone, and I'm not sure what was said, but at this point, Glasses was ignoring this customer.
I start my order with the young lady with the braids, and she's got a GREAT ATTITUDE! She stopped mopping, washed her hands, and rushed over to take my order. In her haste, she dropped a sandwich knife, and without thinking picked up the knife and set it aside.
I asked this young lady to change her gloves and start again, AND SHE DID SO while profusely apologizing. Not the end of the world, young lady. Mistakes happen and you corrected it immediately.
My problem comes from Glasses apparently being jealous that I was being more patient with Braids than the last customer was with Glasses, or maybe Glasses needing to act like she's better than Braids. Either or both.
Glasses came over and started ripping meat off of my sandwich while BERATING the young lady, saying "THAT'S DOUBLE MEAT!"
So NOW she can understand that phrase, even though she clearly didn't hear me ASK for double meat.
Young lady guides me to the register and hits 3 buttons before Glasses (Now working on a two person order herself) screeches out "YOU HAVE TO CHARGE DOUBLE MEAT!"
Meanwhile, young lady is still searching for the old cold cut combo button, obviously a few pages into the sales menu. We haven't even gotten to double meat, and it WAS THE FIRST THING I SAID WHEN I GOT TO THE REGISTER! She struggled to understand her own order as I walked in and then proceeded to micro-manage and belittle this young lady until her HANDS WERE SHAKING.
Young lady did everything right and was being bullied by a coworker and possible manager. Treat your employees better. There's enough random anger going around, and we're not doing YOU any favors by walking into your establishment.
DO BETTER.
