Today, I went to send out a shipment at this FedEx location. I’ve shipped packages there multiple times before, but for the first time, I had an experience that made me very uncomfortable. When asking the standard questions about whether my shipment contained any dangerous goods, the assistant manager repeatedly used the word “bombs” instead of simply saying “dangerous goods.” He repeated it about three times, which I found unnecessary and uncomfortable.
Every other employee I’ve dealt with at this location has always asked the standard question using the term “dangerous goods,” so I don’t understand why he felt the need to repeatedly refer to “bombs.” There was no reason for those comments, and the interaction made me extremely uncomfortable. Because of this experience, I would rate the service I received today a zero.
Unfortunately, I did not get the assistant manager’s name. He appeared to be in his mid-to-late 30s, possibly close to 40, white, bald, and frequently uses phrases such as “Okay, bet.”
