  This is probably THE coolest Subway I've ever been in. It's two stories [steps only - no elevator/escalator] with dining areas on both levels. The upper level has a woodsy/cabin-y feeling, which fully suits the sleepy lakeside town that Lake City is. You get a nice view of Lake Pepin from up there. I also noticed a few tables outside for lakeview dining. Our sandwiches were really good and made as ordered. No complaints there. The issue that caused the lower rating was: after ordering, I produced a mailer coupon for Subway. They come in the mail once a month along with the Burger King/Arby's/Popeye's/etc. coupons. We use them...all the time. Never-ever had an issue. Until this day. The employee refused the coupon saying 'it wasn't in their system'. This confused me as it was not expired and we had ordered all the items required on the coupon so, I politely asked him for an explanation. He pointed to the teeny-tiny printing at the very bottom of the coupon stating, 'See? Right there. It says: only valid at participating locations and we're not a participating location.' Well Sir...par-don moi for living. [Read that as: AWFUL customer service.] In all the Subways, in all the lands, never have I had a valid corporate-issued coupon denied at a store. I wonder what the reasoning is? Maybe a Manager can answer that in their reply to this review? We visit the area for occasional overnights and have eaten here several times before. This experience did put a bad taste in my mouth though so, can't promise we'll return as there are plenty of other local dining establishments close by.

  If I could have given negative stars for customer service, I would. I went in around 11:45am on 07/17. I asked for 6 inch turkey, ham, and provolone. The individual (chunky guy with facial hair), name began with J. who took the order was very unpleasant to start off. The top layer of turkey on the right side of the container and something red on it. Of course that is exactly the piece he tried to put on my sandwich. When I asked for different turkey, he literally threw it assigned but did get another piece of turkey but was obviously mad about it. When he went to place the ham on the sandwich, rather than fold it the way it's supposed to be, he just threw it on. Once it came out of the oven, the tall langy guy did bother to ask me if I wanted anything on my sandwich, he just looked at me and said ham and cheese and started to ring it up. I said to him, I wanted vegetables on it. He just stood there looking at me like I spoke a foreign language then looked at the chunky guy. After about 3 seconds of this interaction, I threw the bag of chips in the counter and told him to keep his sandwich and walked out.

  They have changed the LITTLE containers they heat the meat in... They are way smaller not even enough meat to fill a 6" sub. Very dissapponted

  The processing this place is like a circus took 15 minutes to order a sandwich but nobody in line they’re making pre-orders on people that aren’t even there yet well customers and their and watch them make 10 subs and they don’t even address the customer in line
