I received a flyer in the mail with detailed information about my home along with a quote for $124/mo. which would be $1,488/yr. Just to humor myself I called to get an actual quote. $178/mo. or $2,141. That price apparently included a 20% discount for bundling my autos. Yes I opted for service line coverage which was only an extra $48. AND the coverages quoted on the mailer were for more than the quote I got when calling. So clearly false advertising to entice you. Now…the auto…they break it down to make it sound cheaper than it is. Auto 1, Auto 2, Auto 3…etc. The quotes sound really cheap! But…there is a separate billing line for “policy coverages”. I did opt for roadside assistance and rental. The quote did not include the cost for those. So when I went to pay it was about an extra $78 on top of the quote. Allstate, just be up front and honest about prices and coverages. If you have to play games to manipulate people to do business with you that’s pathetic and illegal.
