Very disappointing experience at Subway. I ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich and was charged an additional $1.50 for the bacon simply because I chose grill chicken instead of the rotisserie chicken used in one of their preset sandwich combinations.
This makes no sense. Subway has built its reputation on allowing customers to customize their sandwiches, yet I was penalized for creating my own combination using ingredients that are already offered together on the menu. Charging extra for bacon in this situation feels misleading and unfair.
Luna, the employee at the counter, told me about the charge, but my issue is with the store's pricing policy, not with her personally. Customers should not have to pay extra simply because they choose a different type of chicken while ordering a sandwich that already includes bacon as an available ingredient.
This experience left me feeling overcharged and frustrated. Management should reevaluate this pricing practice and be more transparent with customers about customization charges
This is the only Subway location in the whole US they charged me. I’m a truck driver and drive all US
