I visited this FedEx location on Grand River Ave in Novi on Saturday, May 16 around 1:00 PM to ask about passport photos. I waited patiently until it was my turn and simply asked the younger lady with ginger hair and glasses , “Hi, do you guys do passport photos?” The employee helping me responded with a very rude and dismissive attitude.
When I asked how the passport photo process worked, she said they could either print the photos or put them on a thumb drive, but did not clearly explain what I was supposed to do with either option for a passport application. When I asked follow-up questions because I genuinely did not understand the process, she continued giving short, unhelpful answers and seemed annoyed that I was asking. I then asked the price, and she said it was $35.
At that point, I said I couldn’t believe how rude she was and that I would go somewhere else. As I left, she responded, “Whatever.”
I understand everyone has bad days, but customers should be able to ask basic questions without being treated like an inconvenience. I left without purchasing anything and would not return to this location for passport photos or customer service.
This was a very disappointing experience. I came in ready to pay for a service, but the employee’s attitude made me feel unwelcome and confused rather than helped. Management should review how passport photo services are explained to customers and address the lack of professionalism.
