Formal Customer Service Complaint – Farmington Hills Location
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally report an unprofessional customer service experience at the Subway location.
On 02/24/2024, I visited this store and ordered two Meal of the Day sandwiches. I am a regular customer at this location and have never experienced an issue prior to this visit.
During the preparation of my sandwich, the employee who identified herself as a manager named Lauren placed only three onion slices on my sandwich. I politely asked if that was the standard portion and whether I could receive additional onions. In response, her tone became dismissive and confrontational. She stated, “Is this enough, yes or no?”
I expressed that I did not appreciate being spoken to in that manner. At that point, she told me to “have a good day” and stated she would no longer serve me, despite the sandwiches already being prepared and wrapped.
Following this interaction, I requested a business card, owner contact information, or corporate contact details so I could properly escalate my concern. She refused to provide any information and specifically stated that she did not have the phone number or contact information for corporate.
This interaction was unnecessarily hostile, unprofessional, and inconsistent with the level of service I have consistently received at this location. As a loyal customer, I found this experience disappointing and concerning—particularly given that the employee identified herself as a manager.
I am submitting this letter to bring awareness to the situation and to request appropriate review and follow-up. I appreciate your time and look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Whitney
