Always had great subs here, always had great experiences with the manager and staff.
Until today.
I saw a new face in the window today. Very friendly and polite.
I paid for part of my meal with the balance on one gift card, then gave a brand new $25 gift card (from a friend) to the person at the window- to pay for the rest. I noted that I had not scratched off the security code cover yet as I handed it off to her. I wondered if that mattered. My bad.
She was gone a while, and came back saying that the card wouldn't even register in the system, not even a $00.00 balance. She said she ran it through more than once but it didn't work. Said maybe the card was fake. Suggested I call the number on the card, maybe there's something wrong with it. I didn't argue. When I came home I took the card out and looked at it. The security code was uncovered on the card she handed back. I have no idea what the number was on the card I gave her. Again, my bad!
I know for sure the one I handed off to her-- still had the security number covered. I tried to call the store several times. Someone picked up-- but said nothing-- every time.
(BTW. The sandwich AND the cookies were perfection today, as always. I have no idea who made them-- but good job!)
However, the rest of my experience today at Subway left me cold, in almost 90⁰ temps.
The manager of this store is one of the BEST. But, I didn't get see her today. Hopefully next time.
