I’m not usually the type to leave reviews, but the customer service here was extremely disappointing, especially toward people of color. The way the staff spoke and acted came across as very demeaning.
I went in to pick up an online Subway order, which I do frequently. While I was there, a homeless woman came in asking for water. The employees were rolling their eyes and speaking negatively about her in Spanish in a way that was very obvious. I felt bad for her, so I offered to buy her a drink.
Since I go there often and had rewards points available, I asked the employee if I could use them. She said yes, so I entered my number and later scanned the code from my phone when she claimed it didn’t work. She still insisted it hadn’t gone through, so I just paid with my card.
After leaving the store, I checked my account and saw that the points actually had been used. When I went back inside to ask about it, the employee was dismissive and rude instead of trying to help resolve the issue.
I definitely will not be returning. Customer service and basic respect go a long way.
