The Braintree UPS Store who I’ve done business with the past two decades while working in Braintree tried to rip me off! They began as fair and reputable but today their policy is to rip off senior citizens on a fixed income for things that, up until today’s visit, were free. As a retired person balancing a fixed income, I had to return two items to two different vendors, both of whom emailed pre paid UPS labels. Not having a printer, I asked the UPS worker, if he could please print the labels. The same UPS facility had printed labels in similar circumstances two dozen times over 20 years. Good business, customer friendly. The clerk said, “that will be $3 each for the labels.” I had already paid $10 postage to receive the packages and now that the vendors were paying UPS, this clerk wants to double dip and charge me $6 for two small labels. From free good customer service to suddenly, we’re going to squeeze every nickel from your social security. When I questioned it, he gave a rude, smug, arrogant remark. I left with my packages, printed the labels at the library, and put them in a drop box. UPS in Braintree cares nothing for senior citizens and will rip off every nickel. I will never give them my nickel. For future purchases, I will ask and avoid any company who delivers with UPS. The U.S. Postal Service and FedEx are much more customer and senior citizen friendly and fyi, they recently printed labels, gladly, for free. They practice good business. in my experience. This store is an embarrassment to Braintree.
