I had a very disappointing experience at the Van Cleef & Arpels Boston boutique today.
I walked in without an appointment and asked whether walk-ins were being accommodated. I was told there would be approximately a 15-minute wait, which I completely understood given the upcoming price increases and the store being busy. My fiancé and I were offered chocolates while we waited, which I appreciated.
However, after waiting 40 minutes, no sales associate had attended to us. What was particularly frustrating was seeing a couple who entered after us being assisted before we were ever acknowledged again.
As a long-term VCA customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. While I understand boutiques can be busy, transparency and fairness in managing client flow are important. If the wait was going to be significantly longer, that should have been communicated.
Ultimately, we chose to leave and made our engagement jewelry purchases elsewhere that same afternoon at Cartier and Bvlgari.
I’m not ruling out future purchases from VCA, but I would hesitate to return to the Boston location based on this experience.

My experience at VCA today was super pleasant. Jun Huang was super helpful and friendly and presented multiple options. I would 100 percent recommend working with him if you stop by!

Very friendly service and decent coffee and chocolate. Came in for a red single pendant and tried on three necklaces (naturally different shades of red). Samantha gave me a little lecture on the uniqueness of each stone and was very helpful! Would highly recommend an appointment to avoid wait time.
