  Service got a 1 star because of one employee. Shirley at the front desk. This person is Rude Disrespectful Unprofessional and a bad attitude and bad mood. My interaction with her started when i forgot and almost left my plate from breakfast on the table. Neisha the hotel Mgr isn't doing anything about this employee. She is soft and is intimated by Shirley. Shirley the front desk employee talks to guest in a Disrespectful way. She needs to be fired. But I think she will be here when the next guest come. So please be prepared.

  Only issue is going into Minden. It is right off the interstate. Tricky traveling into town - you can scoot past the median, but probably best to go south and make a Uturn. Walt was very welcoming and very helpful. Knows the area very well and was helpful with directions to UnderDawgs. Breakfast wasn't warm but easy enough to warm up in microwave (sausage and gravy)

  My stay started out good. I woke up and went to breakfast and I noticed there was mold on some of the bread in the breakfast room so I removed it and brought it to the front desk to let the lady know about it. She wasn't at the desk so I just placed it there and started eating while waiting for her to return. She came in and saw it and picked it up and started cussing and balled the bread up and Nolan Ryan pitched it across the room and hit the wall. I'm guessing she was trying to throw it away but totally missed. Picked it up and threw it again and my mother in law said something to her about it. She was very rude and unprofessional. Definitely won't stay here again after this trip.

  06/28/2026. :::: 0 stars for service morning I was very disappointed with the service we received during check-out this morning. The staff member at the front desk was rude, unfriendly, and seemed to be in a bad mood. While we were still eating breakfast, she started cleaning up the food, putting things away, and removing items as if she wanted everyone to leave immediately. It felt disrespectful and made us feel unwelcome. This experience did not reflect the level of hospitality I expect from a Best Western hotel. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests are treated with more kindness and professionalism.

  The evening desk clerk was very friendly and personable but the morning clerk was in a bad mood for some reason. This was just an overnight stay to break up a long trip and so we were mostly just interested in a comfortable bed, which they had. This is an older motel style which has been updated and it looked fresh and not rundown, but it is just a basic motel and so if you want the bells and whistles you should probably probably pick something else.
