I am a regular customer and visit this Subway location about twice a week during my lunch break. During my most recent visit, I asked for a cup of tuna, which has been provided to me many times before in an amount comparable to what would go on a 6-inch sandwich.
The employee told me they do not offer cups of tuna. When I politely explained that I have received it this way on multiple previous visits, she immediately became defensive and spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. Rather than trying to understand my request or explain the policy professionally, she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her simply by asking.
I was confused by the interaction because I was only requesting something I had received before. The employee's tone and attitude were aggressive, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. As a frequent customer, I was disappointed by the lack of courtesy and professionalism.
I believe customer concerns can be addressed respectfully, even when a request cannot be accommodated. I hope this feedback can be used as a coaching opportunity so future customers are treated with kindness and respect. The employee involved in this interaction identified herself as Molly. I am including her name so management can review the situation and address the customer service concerns I experienced during my visit. My goal is not to get anyone in trouble, but to provide feedback about an interaction that fell below the level of service I have come to expect as a regular customer.
Thank you for your time.
