I usually love going to this subway even though they can never read my instructions on my order. I usually order online and swing by the drive thru to make it easier. Today I went through the drive thru a few minutes after noon, and was met with horrible customer service.
I ordered my food online like normal, and put instructions because one of us likes heated and the other likes toasted. There’s not an option for “heated” on the app.
The last time I went through, there were no other cars behind me so I asked the GM Katie (I actually like her) if I could check my sandwiches and she said she didn’t care.
Today, I did the same. There were no cars behind me so I wanted to check before I made it to my partner on his lunch break. I didn’t get through looking at both sandwiches before the window opened and I hear “is there a problem?” Which was already rude and confrontational in itself.
I said “no I’m just checking my food.” I wasn’t rude back, because I don’t like confrontation and I thought that would be the end of it. She said “well I made it and I made it to the order.” Insinuating nothing would be wrong and I should just take her word for it. So I replied “okay I’m just going to check it real quick.”
She paused, then goes “have a good day” with the most sarcastic half-assed tone. Don’t work in customer service if you can’t be nice to your customers. I would’ve been outta there in 2 seconds had she not made it a problem.
Pretty sure this was the DM Gladys but not 100% sure since it’s been a few years since I’ve seen her. Here recently they’ve continued to have bad attitudes and poor customer service. Thankfully there’s 2 other subways to go to here in Mount Sterling.
Not to mention, I make it to my partners work, and his sandwich was wrong lol.
