  I'm only giving this Subway a 5 star rating because of the only employee that was working there yesterday August 14th around 11:30. I walk in the door with 3 customers before me. One standing to the side and the others sitting, not eating, so I walk up to the counter to put in my order knowing that they were waiting for their orders. The lady spoke and apologized saying that she had 2 big orders ahead of me and the others were waiting. She was working on six sub buns. She was overloaded but still was very nice. I had to ask if she was working alone. She said yes but the other worker should be there soon. I told her no hurry and to take her time then I had a seat, I figured she wouldn't feel as pressured to hurry and get to me. Thank goodness the other patrons looked as if they felt the same and didn't rush her. I can't understand why a manager or owner couldn't have come and helped this sweet lady! I wondered how many customers would be rolling in and be understanding to her. If it wasn't for this lady and Lancaster not having another Subway I would not go back to this location! Maybe the owners need a manager to jump in when needed or have a third employee. Or pay this hard working lady what the other employee that didn't show her pay! I'm sure they won't because most don't appreciate the one good worker they have. I handed her a tip and she put the tip in a tip box on the counter. I couldn't help but think that all the tips should go to her since no one came in to help her or wait on all the customers waiting patiently!

  We love our local Subway at the square in Lancaster, KY! We have yet to be disappointed and they have set the standard other locations just can't match. The bread is always fresh (crucial since I don’t get it toasted), and the sandwiches are actually built right and stay intact. We love that they stay open till 11PM. In fact placed an order online around 10PM on 7/20/26 for pickup. Upon arrival around 10:30 PM my order was ready and in a bag with a receipt. The female at the counter was friendly and didn’t act like she was inconvenienced because of a late order. We have no complaints about any employee that provided prior service. Great job! The reason for 3 stars for atmosphere is because we always get the orders to go.

  Went in to get a sandwich at lunch. The two kids working behind the counter spent more time talking to their friend in line than working. Then one of them proceeded to attach the soda machine nozzles with bare hands.....After waiting 12 mins in line (with one person in front of me, no online orders) I walked out....There was zero effort to greet and address customers. Do not plan to return.
