I don’t usually eat at Subway—in fact, this was the first time my family and I have gotten food here in a few years. Because I don't go often, I just ordered a plain, simple sub.
We took the food home, but the second I took my very first bite, I pulled a long, black hair right out of the sandwich.
I know for an absolute fact it wasn't mine or anyone's in my family. I have short, blonde hair, and this hair was long, dark, and completely embedded in the food. It was deeply unsettling.
I immediately drove back to the store to show them what happened. Honestly, their reaction was the most disappointing part. Instead of a proper apology or a refund, all they did was casually offer me a free sandwich. Why would I want another sandwich from a kitchen that clearly has hygiene issues?
The whole experience made me feel completely sick to my stomach. I definitely won't be back, and I highly recommend checking your food before you leave this location.
