I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience needs to be addressed.
Yesterday was my first—and unfortunately my last—time ordering from this Subway location. My family of three placed a pickup order through the app. When we arrived, the app showed our order as ready, but it was nowhere to be found. An employee explained that a bald man had picked up our order and asked if I knew him. I did not. It was frustrating that someone was able to take our food without any verification, and we had to wait while our entire order was remade.
What made the situation worse was the interaction with the manager. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they came across as rude when explaining what had happened. The mistake was not ours, and it could likely have been prevented by verifying the identity of the person picking up the order.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t end there. After eating our salads, both my mother and I became ill with what appears to be food poisoning. We both experienced severe gastrointestinal symptoms shortly after eating. While I understand it’s difficult to determine the exact cause without testing, I strongly encourage management to review food handling practices, ingredient freshness, storage temperatures, and preparation procedures to help prevent this from happening to other customers.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future customers have a better experience.
