  I had a very bad experience at this Subway on 09/21/2026 I ordered a "Surf and Turf" sub - steak with tuna added. All I asked was for steak with tuna on it. The employee stood there for a long time looking shocked and said, "Oh my God that sounds so gross. I can't believe you're asking me to do this." She then refused to start making the sandwich and stared me down like I was the one being inappropriate. Isn’t it the customer's choice what they order? On top of that, there were flies all over the food case. I told her, "Ma'am, your cheese and sliced cucumbers have flies all over them." She replied, "Yeah, I know," and did not close the containers or clean them. Her professionalism was also lacking. She was unclean and food was splattering while she spoke. She had no training on sub gift cards and could not use mine. She also did not know how to ring up my order or my daughter's order correctly. She forgot to add one of the chips to the receipt and overcharged for the sub. I only noticed this when I got home. When I asked for white bread, she got upset and said "I have to make more and that's inconvenient," so my daughter had to pick Italian Herb instead. The food quality was also poor. Our meat was dry and the vegetables were old and not fresh. This is a huge change from a month ago when it was fine. Customer service has dropped extremely. I have always gone to this location and never had a problem, but after yesterday I will not be going back. I would rather drive to Concordia, KS or to the Subway at the truck stop in Belleville, KS because they provide great service and correct orders. Whoever is the manager needs to step up. When you hire employees, they need to be trained on professionalism, being courteous to customers, and keeping a clean, sanitary area. We will not be returning to this location.

  My sandwich was such a soggy mess. I am glad I went home and got ro eat it with a fork and alot of napkins. This is ridiculous. I did ask for avocado and sauce but not so much it turned my sandwich into a soggy mess. Also I ordered it with no onions and got them anyway. If you're passing through Smith Center and have no time to stop and eat, I wouldn't order from here. This would've been impossible to eat on the road.

  ​I had a bit of a messy experience here. I requested avocado and sauce, but it was applied in such excess that it rendered the sandwich impossible to pick up. The bread immediately went soggy and it all turned into a pile that I needed a fork for. If you are looking for something you can quickly and easily eat on the go or in a car, you may want to reconsider. I hope the assembly process gets better!

  The service was polite. Some salad options didn't look fresh. The sub tasted fine though. Some tables looked a little dirty.
