I am writing to formally complain about the repeated issues I have experienced with the Lawrence, Kansas Wingstop location. Unfortunately, this most recent experience was unacceptable and reflects what appears to be an ongoing pattern of poor quality control, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customers.
I placed a DoorDash order from the Lawrence location, and when my order arrived, the bag was sealed but completely missing the main item I ordered — the wings themselves. Somehow, I received seven cups of ranch but zero wings. What makes this especially frustrating is that the employee I spoke with on the phone was able to correctly name my order back to me, which makes it difficult to understand how an order could be packaged, sealed, and sent out in that condition.
While DoorDash refunded the order, the issue goes beyond simply receiving a refund. When I called the store to address the situation, I could hear employees in the background laughing while I was calmly explaining the issue. Throughout the conversation, I remained polite and respectful, even thanking the employee for their patience. In return, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism and accountability.
As someone who has personally worked night shifts and served in dining and food service environments, I fully understand that mistakes happen. However, there is a difference between an honest mistake and an environment where employees consistently appear careless about the quality of service being provided. Former employees I personally know have described the night shift culture at this location as one where mistakes frequently happen and employees often do not seem concerned with accuracy or customer service standards. I understand that fast food environments can be more relaxed and high-stress at times, but customers are still spending significant amounts of money on food and delivery services and deserve the bare minimum level of effort and respect.
Beyond this DoorDash incident, I have also personally experienced excessive wait times during in-person visits to this location. Combined with hearing employees laughing while I was actively calling about a missing order, it creates the impression that customer concerns are not being taken seriously at all.
Again, I understand mistakes happen. But receiving a sealed bag without the actual wings — while somehow including seven cups of ranch — is genuinely ridiculous and reflects a serious lack of attention to detail and quality control. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and places greater emphasis on professionalism, order accuracy, and respect toward customers at this location moving forward.
