This place will so quickly lie to you just to get you out the door. I quit eating here a couple years ago and I was hoping something may have changed so I started ordering again. Nothing changed.
I placed an order today through the app, waited until the app said it was 'Ready' to go inside. Go inside, sandwich not there. So I go ahead and get my phone with the order ready, double and triple check that I ordered at the right location and time and whatnot. It all looked fine. Before I could make it to a free employee to bring this up, a different employee walks in saying something along the lines of 'I gotta get to that online order.' That made me worry a bit less, Ill happily wait for a sandwich. Before he started the online order, he asked 'What could I get for you?' I tell him that I think thats my online order. NOPE. Thats a whole different online order, probably also marked as 'Ready' because of the rush to get to it. They ask for the name on my online order, I give it to them, they tell me it must not have ever come in. Okay, let me quadruple check. Yep, I ordered for this location, at this time, and it has been marked as ready. Telling me 'it mustve never come in' was the final answer from one of the employees, so I waited for another employee to get done helping his customer because Im 100% confident at this point that my info is right. While waiting for that employee, they find the reciept for my order on the ground. I dont know how it got there, to be honest I dont even care how it got there.
It would be a different story if the one employee that helped me wouldnt have so quickly told me 'It mustve never came in.' Like you dont want to check the computer or something before thats your final answer? I can think of like 10 different reasons why my order might have actually came in and then something went wrong on Subways side. You dont want to check any of those before telling me off? What if your online order printer ran out of paper? What if you guys just lost internet? What if someone else took that reciept to make the sandwich themselves? What if someone accidentally DROPPED THE RECIEPT ON THE GROUND? Like Im sitting here looking at my phone that says 'Your sandwich is ready at 611 W Morton Street Subway 10 minutes ago' and this guy doesnt want to do any sort of double checks. The only possibility is that my order never came in. When I got my food, they offered me a free small soda for the mixup. That small soda wouldve stopped me from writing this long of a review if I wouldve got a drinkable one. My first choice of soda was straight sparkling water with no syrup, so I poured that out and went for the second choice. Second soda looked fine, but it is terribly undrinkable and tastes nothing like it should.
Ive had to fight for food that I have already paid for too many times here. Twice they have told me the most convenient lie to get me out of their face quickly. I wonder how many people they do this to that just walk out the door. I will never try to eat at this location again.
