I usually ship out of the UPS Store in Shorewood because the staff there consistently provides professional service and—most importantly—issues a proper receipt that includes the package weight every time without being asked. That’s a basic expectation for any shipping transaction.
Unfortunately, while running errands, I stopped at the UPS Store in New Lenox and had a completely different experience. When I requested a receipt that included the shipment weight, I was told to either write it down myself or take a photo of the package on the scale.
This is not just inconvenient—it reflects a lack of training and understanding of standard procedures. The shipment weight directly impacts billing, and failing to provide an accurate, printed receipt creates unnecessary risk for customers. If the weight is entered incorrectly later, it can result in additional charges with no official documentation to verify the original measurement.
Customers should not be expected to document their own transactions because staff are unable or unwilling to use the system properly. This is a basic operational function and should be consistently handled at every location. I strongly recommend additional training and oversight at this store to ensure accuracy, accountability, and a minimum standard of customer service.

Everything goes smoothly in the UPS store. Never have any issues and the personal are very friendly. I don't mind going to the UPS store compared to the USPS (always a crowd of people that are upset about something) It's fast. Never had a problem. The employees are great and very helpful. Nothing bad to say about anything UPS does. Very happy with the service?
