  I used to love this store, but over the last year, every visit has been worse than the last. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here over the years, but won’t be visiting anymore. The employees have become unnecessarily arrogant. I’m constantly being told I don’t know what I’m doing, often in a passive-aggressive way. If I’m asking for a specific product, please don’t argue with me or assume I’m wrong. I know what oil my car takes—I’ve been using the same oil for years. And to make it even more frustrating, your own system recommends the exact oil I was buying. The condescending attitude is completely unnecessary. I shouldn’t feel the need to show you a picture of my owners manual to prove I’m right. Customer service used to be one of the reasons I shopped here. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case.

  While waiting for my insurance company to send someone to charge my auto battery, I spoke with someone at the store to check availability on a new battery. Sadly, my insurance had me wait for two hours to get a charge. Afterwards all I had to do was drive four minutes to advance auto and they took great care of me! They installed the battery and explained the operation.. I don’t think I could’ve asked for better service.

  Came in with the correct refrigerant request. Two employees and their system pushed back and sold incorrect refrigerant. Sold us a more expensive refrigerant that you cannot return once opened.

  I had a great experience at Advanced Auto Parts in Lake Zurich, IL and felt it was worth sharing. Like with many auto parts stores, things can occasionally slip through the cracks—it’s just the nature of the business with so many parts, orders, and moving pieces. What really stood out to me at this location, though, was how well it’s managed. The manager here does an excellent job of setting clear expectations and staying on top of daily operations. You can tell he genuinely cares about how the store is run and, more importantly, about making sure customers leave satisfied. He’s attentive, proactive, and puts in the effort to make things right when needed. It’s refreshing to see someone take that level of ownership and pride in their work. Because of that, I felt taken care of as a customer and confident coming back again. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for reliable service and a team that truly cares. - Thanks Again!
