For starters, I am greatly disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service that I received today. Granted, I walked into the store 5 mins prior to closing, but what does that matter, the store closes at 8:00 PM. I assumed it was 9:00 PM. However, instead of being properly greeted, I was met with, I closed down my register for the day. Of course I was confused because clearly there were two other individuals in the store, but come to find out, they were Jose's friends. I asked Jose what time does the store close, he said in 2 minutes. Therefore, I reminded him that because the store was still opened, he could take my order. A very small order at that, and seeing that I was using a debit card, he still could have proceeded with the transaction because card transactions won't affect the actual cash in the drawer. But, nope, Jose proceeds to antagonize by asking if I've ever worked at restaurant, to which I obliged and informed him that I was a restaurant manager for over 10 years, including Subway. At that point, he states, well now the store is closed, which tickled his friends or relatives who where witnessing this poor display of customer service! I have patronized this subway for more than 7 or 8 years, guess what? Not anymore! I'll take my hard earned money to where it is welcomed and appreciated! District Manager, Store Manager, or key holder, please take a moment to retrain your staff on how to properly handle customer related situations. He also insisted that he needed to clean up. We all know that all he had to do was wipe down the cutting boards, wash a few dishes, and sweep and mop! Clearly, leaving on time or early is more important than revenue.
