  Avoid this UPS Store location! On 8/13/2026 at approximately 4:30 PM, I had an extremely disappointing experience at this UPS Store located inside the Palmer House hotel in downtown Chicago. I was shocked by what I consider to be a very questionable pricing practice. A large, plain white paper envelope was clearly marked $2.99 on the shelf, but when I went to pay, I was told the price was actually $5.99, a $3 difference. When I questioned it, I was told that the posted shelf prices were old and simply hadn't been updated. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I was then offered a used, wrinkled, dirty-looking white plastic envelope as a cheaper alternative, but it was only $1 less than the brand-new paper envelope. If the posted price is outdated, it should be removed or corrected, not left on the shelf and then replaced with a higher price at checkout. I will file a complaint with Chicago's Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) because I believe this situation warrants an immediate investigation. This experience left me feeling that the store's pricing practices were unfair and misleading. I strongly recommend that customers check the shelf price carefully and verify it at checkout before making a purchase. I personally will not be returning to this location.

  Thank you so much for the patient service! This is my first time doing return envelope for consulate and I was so nervous and worry! But the male staff ( I don’t know his name ), he was so nice and helping me with calling his manager to making sure everything is right!! 100% return for the amazing service!!!

  If you’re dropping off an Amazon package you should know printing a label incurs a $3 service fee and an additional 50 cents per page which is this location’s policy as of June 2026. Highly recommend the Staples 2 blocks away which is a UPS access point and has much more reasonable prices for better, kinder service.
