We were here for Chicago downtown sightseeing trip, and this hotel offered us budget friendly option with accessibility to riverwalk. We definitely just got what we paid for. Couple of front desk workers we ran into were a little bit rude. One even ignored our request for refilling shampoo request. The hallway had unpleasant smell and the the best wasn't very clean when we walked in. I wish I could have said this placed offer a great value, but I can't.

Had a fantastic first trip to Chicago visiting my son! A huge thank you to Jordan at the front desk for being so exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Not to mention, he is always so stylish and well-dressed! My daughter loved chatting with him every time we came in and out—she was so sad she missed saying goodbye to her favorite front desk buddy. Jordan, your Lil Buddy from KCMO says thank you for being awesome!

Forget the rooms, forget the location, forget everything about this place EXCEPT WALLACE! The rooms were clean and comfy and the location was great but what makes this hotel amazing is Wallace. He held our luggage for us at the beginning and end of our stay when we wanted to explore Chicago and he always had a recommendation on hand for whatever we need. Such amazing energy and a very kind man. Even if you don’t stay here, go see Wallace! See you next week Wallace!

Hotel is definitely not exactly as it seems online. The view from the room was a street light shining into our room, rooms were fairly clean. The office offers free coffee, but the only breakfast was juice from 6-9 am or something. Pool was a bit dingy, but big. The roof patio was great, lovely view and seating, the photos make it look much bigger and more on a roof than a patio that it is. Parking is 50$ a night, and if you get a regular room not a premium you have to use an outdoor elevator to get to your room. Then go outside to get to and from the lobby which has the pool and roof access. It is surrounded by a lot of places to walk to, the restaurant attached really isn’t that worth it. But it’s quick and easy so it’s not horrible.
Booked because reviews were favorable, location was convenient and rate was fairly good. It’s a shabby place that is in relatively poor condition. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the next room and hallways. The hallway outside our room and our room smelled like ancient ashtrays. Super thin towels. Broken and chipped tiles in the bathroom as well as really dirty grout. TV didn’t work properly and engineering couldn’t fix it. Overall, a very poor experience and value. I wish I had spent just a little more for a decent place.
