They're rude and not very helpful. They'll lie in order to get you to buy new stuff.
Long story short: They'll say your battery is bad when it's not.
Long story: I brought a battery to charge once last year during winter, and young staff member had it done. Then when I came to retrieve, older staff: "We tried charging, but test says it's a bad battery"
It was a battery no older than 6 months I got from a mechanic. So I was aghast. Thing is, it hasn't failed for a whole year after I tried using it.
Come today, while helping a relative, I took another battery, and as soon as they noticed a sticker that said it was brought to AutoZone before, old staff was quick to say it was bad, and thus, won't even try to charge it. They proceeded to do a "test", and showed me the results, which I couldn't read, and said "bad battery"
I said thanks, and went to AutoZone. I told them the owners had brought it before, and to please have it checked and see if it works. Guess what? They were very nice, and even took time cleaning to test. Result: Good Battery, low charge.
