Formal Complaint: Unprofessional and Hostile Behavior by Staff Member (Jimmy)
To Management,
I am writing to report an extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable experience I had at your location on June 28th at approximately 12:54 PM.
Upon walking through the door, I was immediately bombarded with rapid-fire questions by an employee named Jimmy.
Before I could process or answer, the situation escalated because my voice was too low. Jimmy began yelling at me in front of the entire staff claiming that he is hard of hearing and that I was not speaking loudly enough. I asked him for someone’s else if he is having a problem.
He aggressively let me know he could hear but I’m too low.
Instead of handling his accommodation politely or asking me calmly to speak up, he publicly humiliated me, spoke to me like a child, and blamed me for his hearing difficulties.
To make matters worse, he pointedly informed me that there are "cameras all over" the building.
As a woman standing there alone, this felt needlessly intimidating, hostile, and deeply uncomfortable.
I de-escalated the situation by remaining quiet and just looking the other way, but the entire interaction was completely unacceptable and completely jarring to watch and hear Jimmy speak to me like that.
A customer service role requires basic respect and composure. Blaming and yelling at customers and making them feel unsafe or monitored is not standard customer care.
Because Jimmy currently has my package, I feel extremely uneasy about how my property is being handled.
I no longer feel safe or comfortable visiting this location, and I will be avoiding it in the future.
Given that Jimmy mentioned the security cameras, I urge management to review the footage from June 28th at 12:54 PM to observe his conduct firsthand.
I would appreciate a response detailing how this situation will be handled. We can’t have this type of intimidation. If not handled I’ll email someone else.
