I had an extremely disappointing experience at UPS Store in Aurora, IL, largely due to the behavior of the General Manager, Linda.
She was one of the most unpleasant, unfriendly, and rude managers I’ve encountered in years. What was especially unacceptable was her sarcastic tone and the fact that she spoke negatively about my daughter and me to other customers while we were still in the store. That level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is shocking.
For context, I had an item shipped to this location for pickup for a business event, paying an additional $200 for expedited shipping specifically because I live nearby. Despite providing proof of purchase and relevant information, I was refused assistance because the package did not have my personal address and exact name listed in the way they required.
I understand policies exist, but there is a professional way to communicate and handle situations like this—and this was not it. Instead of helping or offering solutions, Linda chose to make snide remarks and portray me as a “difficult customer” to others in the store.
If you are shipping high-value or time-sensitive items—especially for business or executive needs—be very cautious using this location. Make absolutely sure every detail matches their requirements exactly, or you may receive no help at all.
This experience was frustrating, embarrassing, and completely avoidable with better customer service.
