My experience with this location was already sending red flags before I got out my vehicle. It was past 9 pm, and there was no other sandwich shops open, so I resorted to subway. The young man behind the counter when I pulled up, Brayden, was rolling his eyes and reacted like I had stepped on his baby pinkie toe. He immediately stormed off to the back of the store. I get into the store and luckily for me, a different young man, Angel, was prompt to come out from the back and greet me. He asked if I had an online order and I replied no, he looked very relieved. He wasn’t the happiest either, but he was being respectful and did attend to his workplace responsibilities and started making me a sandwich. Another employee, the assistant manager, walked in to buy a sandwich and immediately jumped on the prep board line to start assisting with my order. The two coworkers start discussing how brayden was ‘crashing out’ and reacting poorly to customers. I chimed in how it was a little rude to roll your eyes and run away from customers. Turns out they had ‘animals’ rummaging through the Italian herbs and cheese bread! Ewwwwww!!! I would avoid this establishment until they figure out how the animal got into the proofer/storage area. Some of the employees are not focused on providing a good customer service experience.
I’m giving a 2-star rating on service because I actually think that Angel was a great employee, and deserves to have better coworkers. If I could give overall negative stars, I would. Is this specific franchise not locally owned and operated? This is unbelievably disgusting and appalling.
