I had a very disappointing experience at Subway today. I ordered a sandwich, took it home, and when I opened it, I discovered it was completely wrong. I took a photo of the sandwich and returned to the store with both the photo and my receipt. The employees even acknowledged that the orders had been mixed up, but refused to remake my sandwich unless I physically brought the incorrect sandwich back.
At that point, I would have had to drive all the way home, get the sandwich, and then drive back again because of a mistake that the store admitted was theirs. The issue wasn’t that they didn’t believe me—I had a receipt, a photo, and they acknowledged the mix-up. The issue was that they were unwilling to make things right for a paying customer.
Mistakes happen, but customer service is what matters afterward. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling frustrated and unappreciated as a customer.
