I had an extremely disturbing experience at this location, specifically with the notary staff. We approached them politely, but were immediately met with rude, aggressive, and unprofessional behavior.
The notary was yelling at my old Army veteran dad and treating him with clear disrespect. The way he was spoken to felt discriminatory and completely unacceptable. Instead of handling the situation calmly, they escalated it by threatening to call MPs on my husband (that told them they should fix their attitude and defend my dad), even though he was already walking away and trying to de-escalate.
What made this even worse was that they refused to return my dad’s personal belongings and essentially held them until MPs arrived. That is not only unprofessional, but completely inappropriate and alarming.
I am pregnant, and the stress from this situation was unnecessary and avoidable. No customer should ever be treated this way.
This place seriously needs to address their staff’s behavior, professionalism, and how they treat people. I would strongly caution others before coming here.
I had a horrible experience due to incompetency, lack of knowledge about the UPS shipping regulations, and terrible customer service regarding the manager Chita and employee Melissa at the UPS STORE #5743. The Manager Chita and employee Melissa refused an Amazon return of OLAY BODY LOTION because it contains Cetearyl Alcohol. I told Melissa cetearyl alcohol is a moisturizing agent, it is not a hazard, and that CETEARYL ALCOHOL IS NOT THE SAME AS ALCOHOL. I asked for the manager to explain to her and to verify UPS list of prohibited ingredients, and Chita told me no, she doesn’t have one. I found the list on the UPS website, you are just too lazy to do your job.
Melissa and Chita were rude, unhelpful, and dismissive when I tried to explain that it is not a dangerous ingredient. Melissa told me she didn’t care about what I had to say. Melissa screamed at me & I screamed back. I have never in my almost 40 years of life shopping at any store had to raise my voice at employees.
Chita didn't know the number to your corporate office because I got frustrated with the situation, she told me to go find it myself. She is incompetent, and shouldn't be a manager if she doesn't have basic contact information on how to resolve issues. She is lazy, she didn’t want to spend about a minute verifying the ingredient by checking the UPS prohibited list.
How on earth can OLAY BODY LOTION be unsafe! Cetearyl Alcohol is not on UPS prohibited list of items. ALCOHOL is on your list of prohibited items. I will never step foot in another UPS store because of Chita & Melissa.
You refused to listen to the customer, you yelled at the customer, you told the customer you don’t care, you refused to check your prohibited item/ingredients list, you didn’t have the number for the corporate office, you told me to go find it myself. Two terrible employees! Fire these two people. I have also notified your corporate office, and I will follow up with them.
Since both Melissa and Chita were too lazy to listen to me I have included the common types of moisturizing agents found in ALL haircare and skincare. None of these are the same as Alcohol, and are okay to be shipped through UPS.
Types of Fatty (Moisturizing) Alcohols
These are the "good" alcohols that nourish and condition skin/hair:
Cetearyl Alcohol: A blend of cetyl and stearyl alcohol, a versatile emollient and thickener.
Cetyl Alcohol: From coconut/palm oil, softens skin, helps mix oil & water.
Stearyl Alcohol: Also from natural sources, provides a smooth, velvety feel.
Myristyl Alcohol: A 14-carbon fatty alcohol, acts as a conditioner/emollient.
Behenyl Alcohol: A longer-chain fatty alcohol (22 carbons) for texture and moisture.
Isostearyl Alcohol: A branched-chain fatty alcohol
I truly despise dealing with people who think they know, and refuse to listen when presented with new information. All you had to do was listen, and verify your prohibited item ingredients/list, and provide good customer service.
