The aunties working are really nice and it's hard to work a job like that with people like downtown people this late in your life. I really appreciate the hard work that they do and how they manage serving people. People complain about wait times like they aren't in downtown. There's tons of people working here and you expect to get your food super quick? Of course there's going to be a wait, it's common sense. The aunties are doing the best they can and if you manage your more wisely and use your brain and order ahead online then your food will be ready for you when you get there.
Speaking of ordering online, I see several people walk in straight to the register side and wait their turn for the register to be free real quick and ask for their online order and it is already made so there really isn't a problem with the aunties, it is just your time management that is so poor that will stop you from getting your food in time.
The ONLY complaint that I have is that the servings seem quite small and they BARELY have any coupons, if any. I try using any of the deals at the Alakea location and it is always that this store does not support promos. I would assume that this store would be making a decent amount of money since it is located so close to Iolani palace and they can afford to be able to support the deals there but it is what it is. I just hope that this location can opt into the deals more often then I will eat here more. Good job subway thank you for always making yummy sandwiches!
I hate leaving bad reviews. But ive had it. Possibly one of the absolute worst subways in the entirety of oahu. Not only are the servers curt and rude, but, I also never fail to get a sloppy sandwich completely falling apart when I unwrap it. Which is crazy becuase as someone else has said, theyre skimpy on giving out ingredients. I once saw a server scoop a little sauce back off my sandwich. Not an extra meat ball or something that wasnt paid for. No... Less than a teaspoon of sauce. Like, really? But today I picked up my order and asked about my drink. They said its all inside the bag. Um, All of it? My medium drink? They replied its a 20 Oz pepsi zero bottle. I said I ordered a medium meal. I even pointed at my receipt stapled to the damn bag that its a medium drink. She then sternly said no its a 20 oz bottle. You ordered a bottle. Thats the cost of a bottle (which its not). Cool... I've been coming to this subway for 2 and a half years and it has always given problems to me. Screw this place. Save yourself the headache. Walk the 2 extra blocks to the fort street mall subway. Maybe they wont lie to you.
P.s.: I regret tipping
Avoid this location if you possibly can! The service is exceedingly poor from the staff, in the location itself, all the way up to the owner. I had issues with the "sandwich artist" not knowing what was on their series sandwiches (taking ingredients off of a sandwich and putting it back in with the rest of the ingredients essentially contaminating them all), not being able to process payments correctly (it took 3 people and they never figure it out), and then being blamed for the staff not knowing how to do their jobs by the owner. And the cherry on top was the sauce bottles looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week. Again if you are not starving to death you are better off anywhere else.
They make the neatest yet fully loaded subs! Some of the other subway franchise are stingy; this one isn't (or at least, the particular sandwich artist who makes my sandwich). Be nice to the people who handle your food. The picture is after I tore the other 6 inch; second lunch in 3 hours. Delish! Thank you!
