I visited this location on 5/28/26 for two foot long Italian BMT’s for take out. They have a sign that says they only except coupons for certain sandwiches on the sandwich window. I asked the dark skin Indian man if they accept coupons for the sandwiches I was getting and he told me yes. Upon check out he asked his female co worker if they would accept the coupon and she said no. He then lied and said he didn’t tell me that the coupon was accepted. I paid regular price for both sandwiches and left. I told them I wouldn’t be back and didn’t appreciate the lies. Don’t visit this location!

This location has gone downhill; I hope a Health Inspection will be conducted at some point

Guy walks in, not in uniform and places his bookbag on to go rack. Doesn't wash hands AT ALL. The glass is barely see through, nothing is stocked, floors horrible, nothing has labels of explanation or what it is, AND they didn't switch gloves or have any other bread. It is subway standard to have at LEAST wheat and white bread. As well as to switch gloves. Portioning was also not to standard. Lady in hajab refuses to use the register, interrupting the other do it. EVERYONE should be properly trained. If health inspection came by they would fail. Sandwich was basically a soup because of the poor portioning. Also, super slow service. No greeting, sandwiches were not wrapped properly.

I was in the Walmart shopping and decided to stop by this subway. I walk up to order and the dark skin lady with hijab was on the phone. She finally notices me, I start to place my order, she tells me that the lady who takes the order is away from the register so I leave because she repeated this twice. If she doesn’t want to make people food maybe she shouldn’t work in customer service and a call center instead since she wants to be on the phone anyway.

Ordered a 6in steak and cheese meal. The worker wanted to heat the meat and bread together which was new to me since the meat is usually heated separately. Ok,fine. We go through the motions to finish the sandwich, she then used her gloved hand to move the meat into the bread, no utensils in sight. I should have left right then, but with such a short lunch period, I decided to see it through hoping for the best. It was awful. 1st bite revealed cold meat and cheese. Second bite was hard and cold as well so I went back for a refund. The manager is the only person that can give a refund or at least that's what i was told, however when the clerk called him over to handle the situation, he basically threw up 1 finger telling her to wait, then proceeded to go in the connected Walmart store for an additional damn near 10 minutes before coming to address the issue. When he finally came to the counter, I expressed how rude his actions were considering there was a customer issue that only he could solve. No apology, just a hard, rude stare and a dismissive attitude. It was also clear that negative comments were made about me because this so called manager let it be known to the worker that whatever was said was verified within our interaction. After he went through several motions in an attempt to just be difficult, I finally received my refund. Do not, I repeat DO NOT buy from the Subway Sandwich shop inside the Union City Walmart! I hope they replace it with another type of restaurant soon because Subway just can't get it together. They were shut down not too long ago for rodents and general disgusting practices and I thought enough time had passed for improvements to be solidified. Nope!
