I had a very disappointing experience at this Subway during my lunch break.
I placed an online order for a sandwich and immediately realized that I had accidentally forgotten to add vegetables. I called the store three times with no answer. On my fourth call, an employee finally answered. I politely explained that I had just placed the order and had forgotten to select vegetables, and asked if she could please add some.
She told me the sandwich had already been made and could not be changed. However, my app was still showing the order as “Processing.” When I mentioned that, she said she was busy with customers and abruptly ended the call.
About two minutes later, I arrived at the store. To my surprise, there were no customers inside. I saw my sandwich sitting there, opened it, and confirmed that there were no vegetables at all. I politely asked again if she could simply add some vegetables to the already-made sandwich. She refused and repeatedly said, “The sandwich is already made.”
I explained that even if the sandwich was finished, it could still be opened and vegetables could easily be added. I was not asking her to remake the entire sandwich — I was simply asking for some vegetables. Unfortunately, she still refused.
Because of the way I was treated, I asked for a refund. Her response was to tell me, “Don’t ever come here again.” I was shocked by how unnecessarily rude and unprofessional the situation became. I also asked for her name, but she refused to provide it. When I took photos of the store, she even threatened to sue me.
I have been to other Subway locations where the employees are friendly and helpful. At another location near my workplace, if I arrive late to pick up an order, they have even offered to reheat my sandwich and asked if I need anything else. That is what good customer service looks like.
I understand that mistakes happen, and forgetting to select vegetables on the app was my mistake. But this was a very simple request that could have been handled with a little courtesy and common sense. Instead, I lost most of my lunch break, left frustrated, and had an extremely unpleasant experience.
Based on my experience, I would recommend choosing another Subway location or one of the many other restaurants nearby.
If the owner of this location or Subway corporate management reads this review, I hope they seriously look into how customers are being treated here. Losing customers over something this simple and preventable is completely unnecessary.
