  Was sold the wrong sized battery. Went back a couple hours later and exchanged it for the correct size. I also asked to get it installed, which they offer for free with battery purchase. The difference in price was $5 so I got the five dollars back on my card. At this time the cashier Carlos said he gave me back the "core battery" charge ($22) as well, which is the charge that's given to the customer and is refunded if the old battery is brought back. Last time I checked 22 + 5 equals 27, not 5. Carlos changed my battery and took my old one, then told me to have a nice day. I asked him for the core battery charge to be refunded and he was confused. I did check my $22 back, but it was like pulling teeth to get my money.

  They lost me as a customer tonight. While I was out around Town Center Mall, my truck’s battery died. I was able to get it jump started, and called this Advance Auto Parts store en route to ensure that they had the correct battery in stock. The man on the phone said that they had batteries, but would have to look at my truck before they could commit to installing it, since it could take over 30 minutes (per the message in his system). Upon our arrival, the employee I spoke with looked up the batteries they had in stock and proceeded to tell me they could not install it due to the system reset it would cause (and there was no sense looking at it). I explained that I would not have drove all the way to this store (on a jump) if there was no chance of them doing the install at all per the system response. I explained what I was told on the phone, and I was told that they don’t know who I spoke to. I asked for a manager and I was told that there was none on duty (which is inexcusable). Basically, I was lied to on the phone and no accountability was taken by the store. I’ve had several batteries in both of my vehicles installed here before, so I’m not sure why they’re being instructed not to do so now. I’m not sure if the breakdown is between the management, the employees, or corporate, but whatever it is, I will never be returning to any Advance Auto Parts store after this incompetence.

  pick another advanced over all a good parts store but I probably won't go back to the one on sandy plains

  I had a great experience! Lisa was so helpful. I needed a battery, and she made sure it wasn’t still under warranty before helping me purchase a new one. She also helped me with my Advance Rewards login so I could use $50 worth of rewards. Thank you, Lisa!
