  Avoid 91 Fairview Rd location. I went in to get my battery tested. The associate working on my car couldn’t complete the test and said the terminal was “painted,” which already felt like lack of training or experience. A manager had to step in and assist. After that, I was told the battery was too weak for their tester to give a proper reading. Instead of clear diagnostics, the manager pushed me towards buying a $259 AGM battery right away. I didn’t feel confident in the manager's "diagnosis", so I went to another Advance Auto Parts location for a second opinion. The young guy (who was also a manager) tested my battery, starter, and alternator with no issues. Turns out the alternator was the real problem, not the battery. He also said that even if my battery were the problem, the AGM battery is an unnecessary upsell and the $214 Gold Battery would work perfectly fine for my car. That means I could have spent almost $300 on a battery I didn’t need while the actual issue would’ve still left my car not starting because this location (91 Fairview Rd) tried to rip me off. Overall, I left 91 Fairview Rd feeling like the diagnosis was rushed and more focused on upselling to a woman and taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. I won't be returning to this location.

  I'm sharing my "I can't believe that" experience I had on 5-7-26. I returned 2 tire gauges that were giving false readings. My husband bought them new and when he check the air in the tires he used one and then the other to confirm, and they both gave false readings.I told him I would return them for him since he was away at the time. I take them back, tell the associate the issue and said I want a refund. The first thing he said was it's open I can't give a refund. I then said how would we know they didn't work unless we open them.He said Walmart messed it up for everybody. I said "because they are refunding customers on merchandise they don't want or doesn't work. Rightfully so a refund should be given. Then the associate had the audacity to say" he doesn't return anything, if it doesn't work, he just keep it and use it for something else". I told him that makes no sense whatsoever. Who keeps anything if it doesn't work but you keep it to use on something else🫣🙄 If it doesn't work how are you going to use it for something else. I said you know what I'll let my husband bring back, he changed his tune quickly and said I'm giving your money back. This was some nonsense. Maybe they taking my refund out of his check🤫
